Pasuyo App (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a platform that connects users who wish to request items with travelers who have extra baggage space and who wish to earn extra income by purchasing and delivering those items.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using Pasuyo, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate the platform:

• Username
• Email address
• Encrypted password (secured using Devise authentication)
• Request details submitted by users, including item descriptions, prices, delivery preferences, item photos, and related information
• In-app chat messages, including photos shared within chat
• User ratings
• Device push notification tokens
• Location data (used only to support messaging functionality)

We do not collect full names, phone numbers, or financial information.

3. How We Use Information

• Create and manage accounts
• Enable messaging between users
• Display and manage item requests
• Facilitate user-arranged transactions
• Display ratings
• Send push notifications
• Maintain platform security and prevent misuse

We do not sell or rent personal data.

4. Payments

Pasuyo does not process payments within the app. Users negotiate and complete payments independently outside the platform.

We do not collect, store, or process financial information.

5. Data Security

Our backend is built using Ruby on Rails with a PostgreSQL database. Passwords are encrypted using Devise.

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect user data, though no system can guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services to support platform functionality, such as hosting, authentication, and push notifications.

These providers may process limited data necessary to provide their services. We ensure that third-party providers handle data securely and in compliance with applicable regulations.

7. Account Deletion

Users may delete their account directly within the app.

Upon deletion, account information is permanently removed or anonymized, except where retention is required for legal or security purposes.

8. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide services, maintain platform integrity, and comply with legal obligations.

9. Children’s Privacy

Pasuyo is not intended for individuals under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. User Safety, Reporting, and Blocking

Users may block or report other users through the Platform to help maintain a safe environment.

When a report is submitted, we may collect and review relevant information such as user IDs, messages, and content associated with the report in order to investigate and take appropriate action.

This data is used solely for moderation, safety, and enforcement purposes and is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
